Why Indians should avoid Korean products

India's love for Korea started with K-drama and K-pop, and slowly people became more inclined toward Korea, Korean culture, Korean lifestyle and Korean Products. All of these are being loved by Indians and slowly integrating into the Indian lifestyle. There are now so many store franchises that sell only Korean products. Besides automotive companies like Hyundai and Kia get a lot of love from India for their stylish looks, luxury interior and Smooth Engine ignoring the safety and bad suspension. There are many more threatening things about Korean products that we keep ignoring. Let's discuss what danger Korean products really possess.

Top Korean company

Korea has some of the top-notch companies in the world, and they so dominate in their industry making them one of the top companies of the world.

Samsung mostly famous for smartphones and electronic products, is the largest private limited in the World. The less well-known fact about Samsung is that its important product is military weapons. Samsung is one of the Electronic manufacturers in the world.

Krafton is a name trendy among gamers across the world. They build a game which results in many people leaving their jobs. The craze of PUBG was unreal, they also gained immense popularity in India but were banned in 2021. The game re-enters India under the name of BGMI.

Another company of electronics that is also world-class and a common name in Indian households is Lucky Goldstar aka LG. LG has also produced some of the best smartphones in the world. Making it one of the best electronics companies in the world.

Lotte Choco pie is one of the most popular food products in India. Lotto is another Korean company that has a considerable position in the Indian Market. Lotte Confectionery, Lotte Liquor, food and chemicals and a few more products are available in India.

Hyundai and Kia, Hyundai is the parent company of Kia, while Kia provides better technology and equipment than Hyundai. While still, Hyundai has greater market capture. But when it comes to safety both the company stand on the same ground. Kia's safest car in India is Seltos with a safety rating of 3/5 stars and the Hyundai Creta is also 3/5 stars which is not considered safe at all. So the question arises that is looks and technology more important than life....

What is the actual loss we India suffer?

1st January  2010 India signed a free trade agreement with South Korea, according to which both nation India and South Korea don't have to pay import tariffs over a wide range of products. The agreement helps companies from both nations trade with each other, but the problem is people of Korea do not love India, Indian and Indian products as much as India loves Korea, Korean and Korean products. Korean people are nationalist and prefer to buy things from Korean companies even if the Indian products are more affordable. Also, the Korean company in India prefers to import their needs from Korea instead of making a purchase in India. This is the reason why Indian companies are not able to make a profit in Korea while Korean companies are making huge profits in India.

Besides the trade losses, Koreans' discrimination towards India and Indians is nothing new. In many restaurants and clubs Indian and Pakistanis are not allowed. Racism in Korea toward brown skin is very high. There have been reports of xenophobia and racism, especially towards Indians, emerging from South Korea that have raised concerns.
